Who can join?
Our membership is open to anyone interested in improving their speaking and leadership skills. We encourage all potential members to come along to a few meetings of our club as a guest for free (as well as trying other clubs) to ensure the fit is right. Speak to our members and find out about their experiences and why they love our club.
How much does it cost?
1st London Toastmasters apportions your membership fee on a pro-rata basis, so your membership will always end just before the official Toastmasters renewal date of 30 September.
The annual membership fee is £144. If you are not already a member of another Toastmasters club, you will also need to pay a one-off joining fee of £25 for setting up your new membership and gaining access to the resources available on the Toastmasters International website.

New members who have never previously been a member of a Toastmasters club are eligible for a one-off discounted membership fee of £130 for 12 months or £65 for 6 months, valid until 30th September 2026, plus the £25 one-off joining fee.
Most of the fee goes to the international organisation and part is retained by the club for paying for meeting venues and administration. We are a not-for-profit club and so all proceeds go towards club operations only.
